NMG’s flexible and intuitive IT system allows clients direct online access to the claims archive, where they can see the progress of their claims in real time. There are two ways of accessing the claims archive online: one for the client and the other for individual policy holders;
Not only may clients download the claims archive at periodic intervals, but they also have access profiles that filter the available information according to territorial parameters (national, regional, or provincial); as we have already seen, individual policy holders may monitor the state of their own case directly.
The advanced optical archiving system for incoming and outgoing documentation makes it possible to consult all the documentation relating to each claim directly in real time.
Claims are handled using an advanced web-oriented application.
Its innovative front-end technical features make it quick and easy to use thanks to a judicious use of Ajax to obtain pages full of features built to satisfy real operative needs; as it is fully compliant with the standards, claims can be handled using any browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, Konqueror, etc.) and platform (Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac). Users are free to choose the tools they prefer or need to use.
Low-speed data lines or access to the system from environments protected by firewalls and proxies do not affect access to the application, nor do they restrict its ability to function. Its main characteristics are listed here:

  • Both centralised and distributed: the entire system is oriented to the centralisation
  • of information and is able to distribute it to specialist cooperation services (web, mail, sms).
    Good functioning and constant access are assured thanks to a cluster of always-on server nodes, web servers and database servers that can be activated and deactivated using hot-swap technologies.
    Every effort has been taken so users can enjoy a secure and always accessible system.
  • Integrated: no need to navigate through the application in search of the function you need:
  • the context is simply and practically associated with the operations required. The application is multi-functional and transparent: emails and text messages are sent on demand or automatically depending on the context.

  • Automated: the application is built in accordance with the principles of simplicity and clarity.

  • Depending on the operations performed, the system determines the level of automation required, relieving the workload and reducing the typical complexities of specific jobs. Emails are generated, reminders are created according to personal and group schedules, text messages are sent out, and incoming messages are sorted and assigned to the correct file automatically.
  • Cooperative: agents, call-centre operators, insurance companies, and anyone else
  • can contribute to completing the information necessary for the correct advancement of the procedure.
  • DMS
  • The document management system is an integrated and essential component. Every (incoming and outgoing) document handled is digitally archived, versioned, and can always be traced. The document manager is fully integrated with the application, and each document is available and associated to the application area of interest.
  • Workflow
  • Documents migrate from specific workflow states. The definition of the document workflow makes it possible to validate the correct positioning and association of a document only after a review cycle has been carried out: location, associations, and states are tracked, and document life cycles may be verified and reset.
  • Messaging
  • An advanced messaging system is integrated into the DMS, workflow, and application cooperation. Users can send readymade or specially created emails and text messages: incoming messages are automatically routed to the correct file and become part of the workflow.
  • Security and privacy
  • The application ensures a specific and detailed definition of roles and membership, thus guaranteeing top-level security when accessing information. Delicate information is encrypted to prevent access to sections or portions of data even in the event of cross-site scripting or routing manipulation.
